The day finally came. Months of preparation and excitement all led up to....one cold, rainy day. I was so excited when I got the acceptance letter - Marion is one of the notoriously hard to get in shows for an artist. Plus it's an all originals show, and since I was juried in on only pets I had a lot of work to do to get ready. I was down to a measly 3 original paintings of animals.Read More
The details of my summer art fair schedule are starting to shake out, here is what I know so far. I'll update this post as I learn which fall shows I get accepted into. Hope to see you there!Read More
I've decided to dip my toe back into the art fair biz after a brief hiatus in 2016. As such, I'm excited to announce that I've been accepted into the Marion Arts Festival! This festival is ranked in the top 25 fairs in the country and I've been applying for years and finally got accepted! Dog paintings for the win!Read More
Hi Guys - It's been a bit longer than I anticipated since my last post, but I still want to share some of the commissions I finished this year for Christmas.Read More
It's almost Christmas you guys! I just wanted to drop a quick note here to all of my fans and followers letting you know that your support is much appreciated! I know it's been a bit of radio silence from me for a while, but I promise it was for a good reason!Read More
Hey Guys, the past month has been a crazy whirlwind of happenings. After Art Westport I traveled to the St. James Court Art show in Louisville, KY and met lots of great folks. And since then I've been busy with opportunities that have come my way largely because of folks I've met at Art Westport. One of said opportunities is gallery representation here in town at the Phoenix Gallery!Read More
I'm excited to share with you my new series of dog paintings! I'm calling these my "Conversations" Series. The idea spawned first from conversations I have with my own pup. Yes, we talk. When you spend hours alone in a studio with only your tiny adorable Chi mix puppy sometimes you bounce ideas off each other.Read More
Let me just start out by saying WOW, it's been a little over a week since Art Westport and I'm still processing everything that happened. Westport is definitely a show like none other. At least not any that I have participated in.Read More
Hey Guys! I know it's been a while....a long while. It turns out last year's show season took a bigger toll on me emotionally than I expected and I took a hiatus from painting for several months after I finished up my Christmas commissions.Read More

Five art fairs in five weeks…it seemed like a good idea months ago when I started accepting the invitations, but it turned out to be much rougher than I expected.Read More
If you haven't noticed, I'm a big animal lover - especially dogs. Okay, so that's fairly obvious, but what you may not know is I am a big believer in animal rescue and helping homeless pets. For some time I've been trying to figure out a way to use my art to help homeless animals, but I couldn't think of a good way, until recently.Read More
In my last blog post, I talked a bit about the location of the art fair. Now it's time to get down to brass tacks, the art fair itself! Krasl is hands down one of the best, most artist friendly shows I have ever participated in. The volunteers and staff are friendly, the location is beautiful and the show organizers really care about the artists.Read More
I have been busily working away on a few commissions and here are a couple that I can share, as well as a little bit about the process.Read More
I made it into the Krasl Art fair off of the wait list! I was so excited to get to be a part of this show. It's ranked top 50 in the country by a number of sources and from what I had heard it is a festival that is really all about art and artists. I have to say it did not disappoint.Read More
Oh, where to begin with Maker Faire….
I have so many conflicted emotions about this show. I have now participated in Maker Faire as both an attendee and a vendor - with very different experiences each time.Read More
The acceptance (and rejection) letters are rolling in and I'm beginning to get a schedule for my shows this summer! I wanted to share this with you all in hopes that I'll get the chance to see some of you out and about. Here is what I know so far. I'll post more shows and dates as I find out if I've been accepted.Read More
As you may or may not know, I show at a lot of art fairs. Last weekend I did one in Lawrence, KS called Art In The Park and I wanted to share my experience with you all.Read More
OMG! This is the third time in six months I have redesigned my site. My apologies to those of you who have tried to visit lately and noticed some functionality issues.
I have finally decided to migrate my site over to square space after having a host of issues with yahoo hosting and my wordpress site. Hopefully this one will work all the time!
Already it's much easier to use so there's a plus! :)
Unfortunately as a result of my switch I've lost all my old blog posts and had to rebuild all of my galleries. You may notice there are fewer images here than before because of it.
Here's to making new work and a website that functions! Hooray!
